Adeptus works with a broad range of clients including landowners, purchasers, developers and their advisers, across industry, commerce, education and local government. Our projects have ranged from small development sites, to large brownfield sites, operational industrial facilities and military installations. We are happy to advise on contamination related issues at any stage of a project, and we can develop and implement risk assessment, investigation, remediation and verification solutions regardless of project size or type. Whilst the majority of our work has been related to soil and groundwater contamination in the UK, we have also acted for clients in the US and worked as far afield as Australia.

Our phase 1 environmental assessment reports provide valuable peace of mind in the form of a detailed overview and expert judgement given by an?experienced contaminated land consultant.

Environmental due-diligence is equally important in protecting the interest of both those acquiring and disposing of property. The ?polluter pays  principle says that where possible, environmental reinstatement costs should be borne by the party who caused or knowingly allowed such pollution to take place.

However, where such party cannot be identified, current owners or occupiers may become liable for remediation costs.
